Hi Patrick, welcome home and welcome to planDisney! Staying at
Disney Vacation Club villas makes traveling to Walt Disney World and Disneyland feel like we’re right at home because they offer the amenities and services we’ve become accustomed to. DVC also does its best to accommodate the needs of every single guest! Now, let’s talk through how you can book accessible DVC villas!
When it comes to arranging an accessible room at
Disney’s Boardwalk Villas or any of the DVC Resorts, you’ll be happy to know it’s not too difficult to do! On the
DVC website, all you need to do is check the box that reads “Accessible Rooms” when you are selecting your search criteria. Once that’s selected, the website will list any available accessible rooms (such as hearing accessible and wheelchair accessible) that fit your search criteria. Alternatively, you can
contact Member Services and have them search for the accessible room for your given travel dates and desired Resort and room types.
Did you know that Walt Disney World also provides
helpful information for those in need of accessibility services while visiting the theme parks? These include tips and advice for parking and using Resort transportation, wheelchair & ECV rentals, and accessing attraction queues. You’ll also find tools and resources such as theme
park guide maps for guests with disabilities and an
accessibility planning guide. My fellow panelist
Kami is also a wheelchair user and very passionate about her fellow wheelchair users making the most out of their trips! I suggest taking a look at some of her responses as well for extra insight and recommendations!
Patrick, I hope this answer helps as you plan our your Disney vacation. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to
contact me and my fellow panelists here at planDisney!
Your pal,
Sean
