Hi there Kerri, and welcome back to planDisney!
From the sounds of it, you really like to make your way around Walt Disney World Resort and I'm always a fan of folks who have mastered the art of Resort-Hopping in order to experience the sights, sounds and snacks found at the incredible
Disney Resort Hotels on property. One of my favorite things to research whenever I'm out and about at Walt Disney World Resort is a good
resort transportation strategy, so I was happy to test this out for myself today to share the results as well as my personal recommendations:
- Boarding a bus from Jambo House at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, the route up to Magic Kingdom Park can be among one of the longest across Walt Disney World Resort property and took over 20 minutes to complete this leg of the journey at a relatively traffic-free part of the day. Bus transportation has the benefit of being able to be dropped off relatively close to the entrance to Magic Kingdom Park but security has a tendency to be busy at more popular times of the day like the early morning.
- In total, including the time it took to unload, pass through security and wait to board, the entire journey took about 45 minutes from start to finish which may vary on the day depending on whether you're lucky enough with your timing and avoiding any congestion during each leg.
Personally, if I was just interested in finding the fastest way between your starting point and ending destination using complimentary Resort Transportation, I would instead choose to start with a short bus journey from Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge to
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. From there, I would then transfer to a resort bus heading directly to Disney's Polynesian Village Resort which personally shaved off just under 20 minutes when we tested this out as a return option. Whichever way you choose, come back again to planDisney for any other tips or tricks and I hope that this helped you chart out your future adventures here at Walt Disney World Resort!
Wishing you all the best on your journeys!
