Greetings, Laura, and welcome to planDisney! It sounds like you have a
Magic Key annual pass and want to book theme park reservations. You've come to the right place – I'm a Magic Key holder with lots of experience navigating the reservation system, and am happy to help.
Theme park reservations can be made on the
Disneyland Resort website or the
Disneyland mobile app. Start by signing into your MyDisney account. On the website, head to the
Theme Park Reservation page and select the button for Magic Key passes. In the app, tap the plus sign at the bottom of the screen, and then tap "Make a Park Reservation" and "Reserve" for Magic Key passes. From there, the process is the same on both the website and the app – select your pass, a date, and a park. A date with a slash through it means it's either
blocked out or no more reservations are available. Make sure to check the box and tap the "Confirm" button on the last screen to lock in your reservation.
Here are some other helpful tips when it comes to theme park reservations with your Magic Key pass:
- The number of reservations you can hold at once depends on your pass type. I usually like to have my park dates booked out in advance. Stay on top of booking your visits so your preferred dates don't become unavailable.
- If a day you want to visit the park is unavailable (but not a blockout date), keep checking back. I've been able to secure reservations the night before or the morning of on a day I wanted to visit.
- There's a degree of flexibility built into the reservations. You can modify or cancel a reservation up until 11:59 p.m. the night before. Just make sure to do that if your plans change. If you don't enter a park on a day you've reserved with your pass, it will count as a no-show. If you have three no-shows in a 90-day period, you'd be unable to make new park reservations or modify existing park reservations for 30 days.
