Hi Kimberly,
Welcome to planDisney, a magical corner of the digital universe where Guests help Guests plan memorable Disney vacations. Walt Disney World Resort is my family's favorite place to make memories and
Memory Maker is my favorite souvenir because it includes unlimited downloads of all the Disney PhotoPass media captured during our vacation. I have Disney PhotoPass to thank for capturing our big smiles in front of Cinderella Castle and my big hair on
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind.
One Memory Maker purchase lets you download Disney PhotoPass images of up to 25 people on your
Family & Friends list. I understand you had trouble viewing your family members' attraction photos last year and appreciate your efforts to prevent a similar Stitch-uation on your next trip. If your family members all appear with the words "Plans managed by me" next to them on your Family & Friends list, Kimberly, skip ahead to the next paragraph for my trouble-shooting tips. If you do not manage the My Disney Experience account profiles for any of your family members, start by making sure their account settings allow you to view their Disney PhotoPass Photos. They'll do this by clicking "Update" next to your name on their Family & Friends list and making sure the "My Disney PhotoPass Photos" is checked.
In addition to checking your account settings, it's important to understand how
attraction photos automagically connect to an individual's My Disney Experience account or account profile. Family members experiencing an attraction without you must use a MagicBand, MagicBand+, or mobile device with Bluetooth Technology enabled for the
My Disney Experience mobile app in order for their attraction photos to appear in your account. For reference, MagicBands over two years old may work to tap in at theme park entry, but they may no longer be able to link your attraction photos. In the absence of a newer MagicBand or mobile device with the My Disney Experience mobile app, photo preview walls are available at the exits of select attractions (like Expedition Everest - Legend of the Forbidden Mountain and The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror) and allow you to tap an admission card to link attraction photos to an account. Admission cards are a valid
method of entry and are available at theme park ticket windows.
When viewing photos
online or in the My Disney Experience mobile app, my last tip is to make sure the "Include Family & Friends" tab or "Include Family & Friends" tab is selected. A Disney PhotoPass photographer once shared with me that not selecting this view option is a common mistake that prevents Guests from viewing their family's pictures.
I hope this information helps you preserve your family's priceless expressions on their favorite Walt Disney World Resort attractions, Kimberly. Please don't hesitate to reach out to me directly with any follow-up questions.
Plan magic; planDisney.
