Hi Kaci, and thanks for visiting us at planDisney. I’m excited to see that you're headed to the Most Magical Place on Earth today! So let’s make sure your husband’s
MagicBand is all set for the fun day ahead.
At Disney World, MagicBands aren’t transferable, so if you previously linked it to your husband’s profile, it should still be connected. But perhaps it was deactivated by accident, so let’s check to see if that’s the case. If you manage his profile, go to your
MagicBands and Cards page and scroll down to his name. Click on the triangle to the left of his avatar to view all of his bands. Any active MagicBands will appear at the top of the list, and any inactive ones will appear towards the bottom. If the MagicBand in question says Inactive, click the Activate button to get it back in action! If your husband has his own
MyDisney account, he can follow the same steps and check his MagicBands and Cards page.
If this doesn’t resolve the issue, I’d recommend calling the
App and MagicBand Support phone number. A Cast Member would be happy to help troubleshoot! And, in the meantime, your husband can set up
Disney MagicMobile Service, which will give him most MagicBand functionality right from his phone. Even though I have a MagicBand, I like to have this set up as a backup.
If you have a MagicBand+, there are a few fun interactive games and surprises that I wanted to mention. First, my nephew and I love to look for the different
Disney Fab 50 Character statues around the theme parks. MagicBand+ will buzz and light up when you get close to one, and you can wave your arm for a little surprise! The other game we like to play is
Batuu Bounty Hunters in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, where you can channel your inner Boba Fett and complete missions. You’ll use your MagicBand+ along with the
Play Disney Parks app. It’s such a fun way to explore Black Spire Outpost!
I’m wishing you the most magical time at Disney World with your ‘ohana! And if you have any other questions, we’re always here for you at planDisney.
