Ahoy, Alisa!
Welcome aboard planDisney! You're getting so close to your Disney Wonder adventure through the Last Frontier, and this is a fantastic question. After all, knowing whether to pack your pirate gear or your favorite Arendelle-inspired outfit can free up some valuable suitcase space!
Based on the current schedule for your sailing, you'll be trading "Yo Ho!" for "Let It Go!" As the Wonder cruises alongside the breathtaking Stikine Icecap on Day 3, the ship is scheduled to celebrate
A Frozen Fjord Celebration instead of Pirate Night. That means you'll find Frozen-themed entertainment throughout the day, along with a special Frozen-inspired dinner menu that evening. Disney does occasionally adjust entertainment schedules, so your
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app is the best source for the final schedule once you're onboard.
If you're hoping for even more themed fun, your sailing is also currently scheduled to include:
• Day 2 (At Sea) –
Formal Night• Day 5 (Juneau) – Semi-Formal Night
Those evenings are some of my favorites! The Atrium is beautifully decorated, the photographers are out in full force, and it's a great excuse to dress up for a few family photos. Having lived in Alaska, I can also tell you that the scenery has a way of stealing the spotlight so you may want a few pictures from the upper decks too. The mountains, glaciers, and endless wilderness create views that are unforgettable whether you're on deck or exploring ashore.
Alaska is one of my absolute favorite places, and one thing I'd definitely
add to your packing list is a pair of binoculars, maybe even one for each member of your crew. You never know when you'll spot a humpback whale, a bald eagle soaring overhead, or another incredible piece of the wild that deserves a closer look.
I hope this helps as you put the finishing touches on your packing list! Whether you're singing along with Anna and Elsa or admiring glaciers that look straight out of Frozen, you're in for an unforgettable voyage through one of the most beautiful places I've ever visited.
Sea ya real soon with sunshine on deck and fireworks lighting up the night sky,
Dustin
