A-hoy! I’m going on the 7-Night Mediterranean with Greek Isles Cruise from Civitavecchia leaving on June 20 and was wondering which night will be pirate night? And also which night will be formal night? Thank you! :)

Well ahoy there Leah, and welcome to planDisney!

I hope you're getting super excited about your Mediterranean cruise departing from Civitavecchia very soon - I absolutely love the itinerary that you're on for the sheer beauty of being able to wander across the Greek islands as you sail the Aegean on the Disney Dream! I had a look at your itinerary for this particular voyage and was able to pull up a tentative schedule of the suggested evening attire:

    • Tuesday, June 20 - Civitavecchia: Embarkation Day/Casual
    • Wednesday, June 21 - Naples: Formal Attire
    • Thursday, June 22 - At Sea: Casual
    • Friday, June 23 - Mykonos: Optional Pirate Attire
    • Saturday, June 24 - Santorini: Casual
    • Sunday, June 25 - Chania: Semi-Formal Attire
    • Monday, June 26 - At Sea: Casual
    • Tuesday, June 27 - Civitavecchia: Debarkation Day/Casual

Bear in mind that this may always be subject to change, so it's always a great idea to refresh and reload your Disney Cruise Line Navigator App on Embarkation Day for the latest updates. (At the current time it appears that there are no fireworks scheduled to be set off as you sail away from Mykonos in the evening, which has been something I've experienced in the past due to local regulations prohibiting this within a certain distance from the islands; I'm curious to see whether this changes during your voyage!)

If there's anything that I can recommend as my top Princely Pick, Tip or Trick when it comes to exploring Greece from my years at sea, it's packing some seriously comfortable shoes. While you might find some fashionable footwear or stylish sandals in some of the Ports, I found that they're best worn on board or back at home as opposed to breaking them in while hiking up Mount Vesuvius or exploring the ruins in Pompeii, Delos or Akrotiri. It appears that you've also got a later All Aboard time in Santorini just as the sun begins to set and I highly recommend that you find a great elevated spot on board to view that spectacular sunset. (I noticed that many folks tend to miss out on it as they're sitting down to dinner or to watch a show!) I hope that you have an amazing voyage Leah, feel free to come back to planDisney any time for more nautical knowledge ahead of your next adventure!

Wishing you all the best on your Mediterranean meanderings at sea!
