Hello! I’ve been on a cruise with dance lessons.. like salsa. Will the fantasy have other things to onboard than what is on the app?

Ahoy there Theresa and welcome aboard planDisney!

It sounds to me like you're no stranger to sailing the seas, and I hope you're getting excited about sailing on the Disney Fantasy this summer! From the arrival date that you put down it looks like you're about to embark on a 6-Night Western Caribbean Cruise from Port Canaveral with Silver Anniversary at Sea, sailing completely around Cuba on your way to Cozumel and Grand Cayman with one or two Sea Days in between.

I'm so glad that you asked me this question as I've actually attended and even taught my fair share of Ballroom lessons during my time living and working on board! In the past the Disney Fantasy has definitely played host to fellow seafarers learning to Waltz, Rumba or even Salsa typically in venues like The Tube. You'll find these classes listed along with the other Activities in the Fun for All Ages section, but in my experience this is only on longer itineraries of typically 10 Nights or longer when there are Crew Members on the Entertainment team who are able and available to teach guests. For example, on the Disney Dream's most recent Transatlantic voyage this year they often had two sessions with a different dance taught on each Day at Sea.

The Disney Cruise Line Navigator App shows all of the activities on board for your particular voyage; while you might encounter unlisted events or happenings in venues which may be private or crew-only, it's always worth refreshing the app itself on Embarkation Day to make sure there haven't been any changes or updates. (Your best bet for Ballroom instruction is to aim for some of the longer cruises with several Sea Days between destinations and if you still don't see any planned as you embark, see if you can chat with the Cruise Director as they open or close the show on the first evening to see whether it can be an option during your sailing!) I hope this was a bit of helpful information for you Theresa; don't hesitate to come back to planDisney again for more answers, tips and tricks ahead of your next voyage!

I hope you get your chance to dance on an upcoming Disney adventure!
