Hello Ellie!
Thanks for coming back to planDisney with a follow-up question. I get it, "there’s just a lot you’ve simply got to know!" I see that
my pal Prince already did a little digging for you about sending and receiving Character fan mail. Prince is always such a wealth of information, fun facts, and Cast connections. I learn something new every time I chat with him so I'm glad he was able to pass along his knowledge to assist in your letter-writing campaign.
The Family Madrigal embodies love and joy so I can fully appreciate why you'd want to receive a special letter with words of wisdom from each of them. Each has a gift, a unique story to tell and a song to share. Speaking of songs, my family has enjoyed quite a few Carpool Karaoke-style singalongs to the
Encanto soundtrack on our road trips. We take turns singing everyone's parts- even if we don't sound quite as good. Perhaps one day we'll each open a magical door to some voice lessons, but I digress.
Now, though the Family Madrigal is fantastical and magical they might not all be available to reply to guest letters. Julieta is typically cooking up a storm while Luisa has her hands full, and I'd imagine that Bruno (yes we can talk about Bruno here) is prob staying busy making up for lost time with his family.
As Prince mentioned, a return letter is never guaranteed but that shouldn't stop you from writing. And remember, it doesn't need to be perfect, it just needs to be! Though I can't share a time frame for when you might receive a response I say follow your heart and put that pen to paper no matter the outcome. Don't succumb to pressure, just be patient and steadfast and steady. You don't have to be strong like Luisa or graceful like Isabela to share your gift. Remember the miracle is you!
Ellie, I hope you'll enjoy the process of writing letters even if you don't receive a response. If you need a little bit of
Encanto magic in your life while you're waiting consider visiting Walt Disney World Resort during
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival this spring. The Family Madrigal is featured in a beautiful topiary display at the entrance to World Showcase. It makes for a perfect photo backdrop and you're sure to be captivated by Isabella's floral handiwork all around the park. If you can't make it before the festival ends you'll also have the chance to meet Mirabel at the newly revamped
1900 Park Fare at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa when it reopens on April 10.
I hope this encourages you on your writing quest! Please come back and see us again with more planning questions.
Magic and memories,
Amy
