Hello, I think writing fan-mail letters and receiving a postcard in exchange is a brilliant idea! Is it possible to send any letters to Encanto characters like Mirabel and Isabela?

Why hello there Ellie and welcome to planDisney!

When hear your name, I think of the story of Carl and Ellie from Up and their distinctive painted mailbox so it's only too fitting that you've come to us here about sending a bit of magic through the mail! I've definitely helped advise fellow guests about the ins and outs of sending mail to their favorite Disney character friends, and at the current time there's never any guarantee whether you'll receive any response in exchange for doing so. I checked with a friendly Guest Relations Cast Member who advised that you're still welcome to send mail to the following address if you wish:

    Mirabel & Isabela Madrigal
    c/o Walt Disney World Communications
    P.O. Box 10040
    Lake Buena Vista, Florida

While postcards and responses seemed to be a far more common occurrence in past years, I have yet to see anyone successfully receive anything from any members of the Madrigal family! (As always I do recommend enclosing a self-addressed envelope with the appropriate postage included to increase your chances in receiving anything, if at all.)

I took the opportunity to chat with our Character pals in Entertainment who let me know that they actually love receiving heartfelt letters and cards from guests presented to them in the theme parks, so this could be something to try when you Meet Mirabel at Fairytale Garden just a short mariposa flight away from Cinderella Castle in Magic Kingdom Park! Here she can even sign a postcard for you in person (be sure to notice how much her autograph resembles her name embroidered on her skirt), which you can then send yourself from a special mailbox just on Main Street, U.S.A. outside City Hall.

Recently, Isabela made her first appearance in person at Walt Disney World Resort during the runDisney Princess Half Marathon, so who knows whether she’ll be popping up amongst the petals and blooms abound at the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival - but it would be a shame if she didn’t pay a little visit this spring! However I do hope you keep up the wonderful hobby of writing and sending those special messages in the mail (responses or not) and do come back to planDisney again for any other advice or answers again soon.

Wishing you all the best on your letter-writing quest!
