Hi Maria!
First, can we please talk about how fun it is to enjoy
Deep South Shrimp and Grits next to a big mill wheel in rural Louisiana for dinner and head out for a cocktail from the South Seas right after? I love how Walt Disney World Resort offers us so many experiences in one day!
To tell you the truth, if I were making the journey from
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside to
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, I would likely use a ride-share option like
Disney Mini Van Service. That would make the adventure to explore the exotic ingredients discovered by Trader Sam a little shorter. Since
Trader Sam's Grog Grotto is a popular destination that does not accept Advance Dining Reservations and can sometimes have a wait, it's best to arrive early!
If you have an explorer's heart and prefer Disney transportation, here is the best path:
1. From the front of Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside, board a bus destined for Magic Kingdom Park.
2. Once you arrive, head up the ramp for the Resort Monorail. Find a comfy spot with a great view, and enjoy the ride to Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. It will be the third stop.
Quick Tip: If you plan to snack and enjoy the
libations at Trader Sam's Grog Grotto, I recommend pairing a glass of the complex and delicious Spy Valley Sauvignon Blanc with the beautiful and tasty Veggie Rainbow Roll for a real treat! (Though my husband would say that you can't beat The Nautilus in a souvenir mug!)
I hope that helps, Maria! I know you will have a wonderful time on the Bayou and at my favorite tropical tiki bar. Come back and visit us at planDisney with any other questions!
