Hello again David! I have a question about the planDisney search. It can be tricky to record the video within the quick timeframe, so last year I used a teleprompter for pacing. Is this allowed, or does it disqualify the applicant from moving forward?

Hi Colleen! It’s great to hear from you again here at planDisney. As you mentioned, the planDisney Search for 2027 panelists is underway, and I, along with the other panelists, will be cheering on all the applicants!

As you mentioned, one part of the application process is a brief video submission. If you are a part of that stage of the process, the planDisney team will include a list of technical requirements along with other instructions. However, my biggest advice would be to be yourself. The planDisney panel is looking for individuals who not only love the Disney Parks and Disney Cruise Line but also enjoy helping others have the most magical vacations.

As you are answering your questions and preparing for the later stages of the process, I would encourage you to let your personality shine through. A big part of what makes a great panelist is authenticity, and the more you can showcase what makes you, you (along with your knowledge), the better! Always follow the directions and technical guidelines you are given, but don’t let that distract you from sharing your own insights and tips. Each panelist brings something different to the table, and the search team wants to hear your unique voice.

From my own experience applying, I took the time to research my answers before submitting them. The extra effort I put into making sure I could share my firsthand knowledge helped me feel more comfortable and confident, both in my written answers and later in the process.

You may have noticed a running theme throughout my answer, Colleen, and yes, that is intentional. planDisney is looking for a “diverse community of passionate Disney vacation experts.” Be true to yourself, and let your love of helping others through your Disney knowledge shine through. That will help you submit the strongest application possible.

Cheering you on throughout the search process,

    David

As an amateur photographer, attention to detail is key and I bring that same spirit to helping you plan the most magical trip. Whatever your question is, I have a Q-Tip for you!
