Hi Shannon! Welcome back to planDisney!
Once your gift card is successfully loaded into your Apple Wallet, you will use Apple Pay as you normally would. You do not need to enter the codes associated with the gift card when making purchases. That said, I always like to have a picture of my gift cards stored on my phone, just in case I ever need them. To date, I have never needed to use the backup documentation but it just brings me slight comfort knowing I have them nearby if needed.
In case you didn't know, you can also use Apple Pay for
Mobile Food and Beverage Ordering. Ordering quick service meals and snacks is very easy using your
My Disney Experience Mobile App. Simply open the App, and click on the "Mobile Food Orders" tile followed by "Create New Order."
Regarding the use of Apple Pay at the front desk, I wasn't confident of my answer so I confirmed with a cast member that Apple Pay is not currently accepted as a form of payment for
Walt Disney World Resort Hotel Reservations online or at check-in. You may want to confirm this upon arrival at your Resort Hotel as enhancements are always being made and that capability may become available between now and your arrival date.
Speaking of your arrival date, it looks like you will be visiting Walt Disney World during the holidays! One of the things I like to do this time of year is to build extra time in my schedule to visit other resorts to enjoy their holiday displays. My two favorite resort lobbies to visit include Disney's
Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and
Disney's Beach Club Resort.
Shannon, I hope you find this information helpful and your holiday vacation is truly magical!
