Hey there, Lisa! Welcome to planDisney and thanks for stopping by with such an important question!
Eeeek! The time has come! 60 days before your arrival is
such an exciting day in
Walt Disney World vacation planning. It's the day you can make all your
dining and
Enchanting Extras reservations for your upcoming adventure at the Most Magical Place on Earth and start your pixie-dusted countdown to the fun. Let's get this planning party started!
Since it sounds like your dad has your Disney Resort Hotel reservation booked and ready to go, your planning is off to a practically perfect start. But before you can make all of your dining reservations for your entire stay (up to 10 days), you'll need to link your Resort reservation to your My Disney Experience account. You'll also want to make sure that your dad's and your My Disney Experience accounts are linked via your Family & Friends Lists. For me, the easiest way to do this is on the My Disney Experience app. Just log into your app, tap the three-line menu icon at the bottom, scroll down, tap "Profile" and then the blue "Family & Friends List." If your dad is on your list, you're good to start linking and planning.
If you and your dad need to link up via your Family & Friends List, go back to "Profile" on the app and tap "Show My Linking Code." Have your dad scan your QR code on his My Disney Experience app or send him a screenshot to enter the Manual Code on his app. Once you two are linked, it's time to link your Resort reservation.
To link your Disney Resort Hotel reservation, log into your
My Disney Experience account, hover over the "My Disney Experience" tab and click "
My Plans." Hover over the Resort Hotel icon and click "Link a Reservation" to enter the confirmation number and link the reservation to your account. Just be sure to select the correct Guests from your Family & Friends Lists, and you're good to go! Happy booking!
If you are looking for some fun character dining with absolutely awesome food, I highly recommend Breakfast à la Art with Mickey & Friends at
Topolino's Terrace and
Story Book Dining at Artist Point with Snow White. If you're looking for fantastic flavors off the beaten path, I must recommend two of my favorites:
Sanaa and
Boma at Animal Kingdom Lodge. Lastly, if you're looking for incredible fine dining, I have to recommend
Flying Fish at the BoardWalk. I recently had dinner there, and it was seriously one of the best meals I've ever had. There are
so many fabulous places to dine around Walt Disney World ... ENJOY!
I hope this helps, Lisa, and I hope you and your dad book everything on your must-do list! If you have any other questions or need any help choosing dining experiences, just stop by and
ask me. You've got a friend in me!
