Disney vacation planning questions. And when you think about planning such a special vacation, it really is a "
we’re all in this together" moment, so let’s get to it!
If you already have Guests connected to you through the
My Family & Friends list, simply go to the list and toggle on the option to share and manage plans. Next to each connected Guest, you will see an "Edit Settings" button. Click that button and toggle on the option to "Allow [insert name here] to view and modify all of your plans." You can turn this off after your vacation if you'd like, but as long as both of you have this option toggled on before and during your vacation, you should be able to connect them to
advanced dining reservations, purchase and make
Lightning Lane reservations, and see each other’s plans so you can plan together. It'll be like a perfectly coordinated group project where everyone actually does their part.
When it’s time to purchase Lightning Lanes, you will have the option to select anyone connected to you who has valid theme park admission and whose purchase window has opened. Guests staying at a
Disney Resorts Collection Hotel can purchase these passes 7 days before their arrival date at 7:00 a.m. EST. All other Guests can purchase them 3 days before at the same time. Don’t worry, the app will show who is eligible and, if they’re not, when they will be. This way, everyone knows exactly when it’s their time to step up and make those plans happen.
You can even try this now just to test it out. Open the
My Disney Experience mobile app, select the "Lightning Lane Passes" tile from the main menu, and choose the purchase button for the product you’d like to book (or explore). Then select the date, the park, the specific product, and tap "Continue." There, you should see all the Guests connected to you, so you can get your head in the game before it’s time to book for real. The app will indicate if they do not have valid admission for the selected date and, if they do, when they are eligible to purchase, so no one misses their moment.
