Park Hopper is a fantastic option that gives you the flexibility to explore both parks in one day. Since they're conveniently located just steps apart from each other, this is an option my family appreciates, especially on shorter trips when we don't want to choose which park to spend our time in. We usually start our day in a park, enjoy a few Attractions, grab lunch, and then hop over to the next park. We'll spend the afternoon there, maybe make a
dinner reservation at a favorite dining location, and hop back to our starting park for fireworks or nighttime entertainment. You can do that!
If you didn't purchase
Park Hopper when you were selecting your
ticket options, you're still in luck! So long as it's not sold out for the day, you should be able to add Park Hopper to most ticket types even on the day of your visit. You will have to pay the difference, and if you're visiting over a couple of days, be sure to make the upgrade on the first day, since it's the same price to upgrade over multiple days as it would be just for one.
I'm happy to walk you through how to go about adding Park Hopper to your existing tickets in the
Disneyland mobile app. Tap the three-bar menu on the lower right side of the app's home screen. Next, tap the "My Tickets & Passes" tile. You should see your linked tickets on the next screen. You can upgrade a ticket to include Park Hopper by clicking the link to upgrade or change your ticket. Accepted methods of payment include credit, debit, and Disney Gift Card.
You can also add
Lightning Lane Passes for an additional cost after scanning into the park. With this option, my family spends less time waiting in queues and more time exploring the parks together. If Lightning Lane Passes are available for the day, you'll find the link to purchase near the top of the home screen. Plus, currently,
Disney PhotoPass downloads are complimentary with your purchase of Lightning Lane Passes, which is a fantastic value. Those photos are always my favorite souvenir from a trip because everyone gets to be in the photo.
