Hi Carolyn! Thanks for visiting planDisney.
If you're familiar with the Walt Disney World Resort, the Disneyland Resort operates a little differently in some ways, including the function you'll find on the app. The
Disneyland mobile app doesn't feature a My Friends & Family List to share planning details. I'm sorry if that's not the news you were hoping for!
While every member of your group can make plans, it's sometimes easiest to designate one person to make Lightning Lane selections if you purchase
Lightning Lane Passes,
dining reservations, and reserve
Enchanting Extras. That makes it easier to track everything on one app. I'm the go-to person in my family, using my Disneyland Resort account and mobile device to keep track of our plans and book Lightning Lane Entrance return times once we're in the parks.
The good news is those differences also make visiting both parks more than worth the while. You'll definitely want to experience Attractions and Entertainment unique to Disneyland Resort, as well as those that play out a little differently in California. Don't skip "it's a small world" in Fantasyland or Pirates of the Caribbean in New Orleans Square at Disneyland Park, for example: you'll find them both to be magically different from their Florida counterparts. Prepare to be surprised!
Many of your booking windows will open at 60 days out, so make a reminder on your mobile device on the appropriate date to start selecting your must-do activities and dining locations. Popular spots can fill up fast, and availability isn't guaranteed.
I hope this helps!
Elizabeth
