Hello, Alley, and welcome to planDisney!
I’m so happy to hear that you have an upcoming visit to Walt Disney World Resort. It’s going to be a visit to remember with all the fun, magic, memories, and dining plan meals. So let’s make that potential addition a reality!
Since your trip is just days away, I recommend
calling the Walt Disney World Reservations line. A Cast Member on the other line will be more than happy to see if your existing reservation can be modified to a reservation that includes a
Disney Dining Plan. Alley, keep in mind Disney Dining Plans can only be added to vacation packages that include Walt Disney World Resort hotel reservations and theme park tickets. As long as your existing reservation includes those two things, A Cast Member should be able to complete that addition for you.
Do you know which of the two dining plans you’ll be adding? My family bounces between the two options depending on the trip. For example, in the warm summer months, we will go with the
Disney Dining Plan so that we can enjoy at least one Table-Service meal a day. It’s the perfect way to escape the heat and enjoy a nice, rather relaxing, meal. Since our kids are younger, we usually schedule our Table-Service reservations at Character Dining locations. This way, our kids not only eat, but feel like they never left the theme park. (Even though we are still in the theme parks, they fear that meal time takes away their time to do things like attractions and Character experiences.)
On shorter trips, we’ll go with the
Quick-Service Dining Plan. This option is perfect if you are an on-the-go type of family. I love it because, as I’ve mentioned, my little ones dread meal times in fear of missing out on the fun. So these quicker style meals are the perfect solution.
Alley, I hope this has helped answer your question and helped you decide which dining plan to go with. If you have any other questions before adding it on, or even after, please let us know! We here at planDisney are always ready to help and provide you with our favorite dining locations like
Flame Tree Barbeque. The Baked Macaroni & Cheese with Pulled Pork is a must!
Enjoy,
Shantel
