Hi David,
I see that you are already at Disney World. Hopefully, this arrives in time to help you plan your upcoming adventure to
Disney Springs. I love staying at Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa when I plan on spending a lot of time at Disney Springs because the short 10-20 minute walk between the two locations is super easy. It is also a beautiful and relaxing way to start or end your day.
I have seen a lot of back and forth on the hours that the walkway is open so I asked a cast member for clarification. They said that the walkway is only open during
the official operating hours posted for Disney Springs each day. Sometimes they open it a little early to give you extra time to head over to Disney Springs but that is not guaranteed. You can also use the
water taxi for transportation to Disney Springs if your feet are extra tired or you want to save energy for exploring the theme parks later in the evening.
I love visiting right when Disney Springs opens because the shops are not super busy and you can be the first to arrive for lunch at the
Polite Pig. The pork and sauces here are killer. We even buy sauce to bring home as a souvenir because we love it so much. Arriving early is also a great way to be first in line at
Gideon's Bakehouse for some of their iconic cookies and a Peanut Butter Cold Brew. It sounds super weird, but I promise it is delicious.
Happy Shopping,
Jenna
