Hello, Cathryn!
Welcome to planDisney! I'm so happy that your daughter has found the happy thoughts she needs at the Disneyland Resort. Isn't it amazing how inspiring stories and a safe, happy place can help us grow and overcome obstacles? Your daughter sounds absolutely heroic!
Sadly, the pavers in the Esplanade are no longer available for purchase. If they were, I'd be buying one right along with you! Because Disneyland Park will never truly be complete (Walt himself said so) it's also very possible that the pavers won't be there indefinitely anyway. Instead, I'd recommend choosing a special spot inside Disneyland Park that you can visit with your daughter each time you're in the park.
My special spot is a bench at the top of the
Disneyland Railroad station on Main Street, U.S.A. where my husband proposed to me over 16 years ago. I love to go up and sit on that bench with him and just soak up the sights and sounds of the park. It's one of my favorite places in the whole world! Is there a place at the parks that means a lot to you and your daughter? Someplace you could always make a point of visiting and snapping a quick photo? I highly recommend making it a tradition!
Another idea might be to choose a special souvenir that reminds your daughter of the parks. I've had a tiny castle from
Crystal Arts since I was a young girl that I still treasure. A piece of jewelry that she could wear all the time might be lovely, too! You actually can
purchase a replica of the Disneyland Resort pavers on shopDisney and customize the message on it, which might be really fun to have at home!
Cathryn, I wish I could sprinkle some pixie dust and help you with a paver at the resort. But I hope my thoughts here will spark an idea that is just as meaningful for your family! I'm sending lots of hugs to you and your daughter. May you continue to find joy and light at the parks for years to come!
Keep moving forward!
Amanda
