Welcome to planDisney, Simon. Thanks so much for bringing us your question here today. I'm always so excited to hear a Guest is planning a trip to
the Most Magical Place on Earth!
Rest assured, you can buy a one-day ticket to visit a Walt Disney World theme park on U.S. soil. Prices are subject to change and will vary depending on the park you visit, the date, and various optional add-ons such as a Park Hopper Option.
While I cannot give you a specific price comparison, the
Magic Ticket, available to U.K. residents, includes many additional benefits (such as Park Hopper, water park access, and Memory Maker) at a price-per-day point usually favourable to an on-the-day price.
I am clearly a Disney fan, so I genuinely feel that one day at Walt Disney World is not enough! Arriving in November coincides with all the festivities and decor leading up to the holiday period. That said, if a single-day purchase is your preference, I recommend buying tickets in the States online or by calling U.S. Guest Services rather than at the Main Entrance Ticket Booths. It's best to know availability ahead of time, right?
Another alternative, if buying before you travel is a must, is to purchase a ticket to a special event such as
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. These tickets are available externally from the Walt Disney World Travel Company through U.K.-based tour operators.
Simon, I hope this information helps, and please do pop back if I can help with anything further for your Walt Disney World adventure, Louise.
