Hiya, pal! Thanks for popping by planDisney with your question!
Some people say popcorn isn’t very good, but there’s not a kernel of truth in that! For many Guests (including me) it’s one of the most beloved snacks at Walt Disney World Resort. The smell and taste of that classic Disney popcorn bring back nostalgic memories and are such a fun part of the Disney experience.
I especially love the novelty of the refillable popcorn buckets! You can purchase one in any of the four theme parks and enjoy refills at participating popcorn carts for a small fee, valid for the length of your stay. Whether you’re sticking with the classic movie-theater-style popcorn or trying a specialty flavor, it’s a snack worth savoring.
Now, when it comes to bringing that popcorn magic home...while Disney doesn’t offer shipping for food items like theme park popcorn, there are a couple of things you can do. If you purchase a popcorn bucket (without food in it), you can ship it home from your Disney Resort merchandise location, as long as you have your receipt. Just keep in mind that food items aren’t eligible for this service, as they fall into the “food” category, not merchandise.
If you’d like to ship it yourself (with the popcorn included), you can stop by a
Business Center at select Disney Resort hotels or visit the new shipping center (including a UPS Store) at Disney Springs for assistance. Also, while Disney doesn’t sell the theme park popcorn online, you might find bagged Disney Mickey Main Street Popcorn mixes sold by third-party retailers, but these aren’t the same as the freshly popped kernels in the parks.
And while I know you’re a fan of the classic flavor, here’s a fun tip for your next visit: you might want to sample some of the unique options around the parks! Maple Popcorn in the Canada Pavilion at EPCOT is a must-try. Or check out the Kernel Kitchen inside the
Main Street Confectionery, where you can create your own custom popcorn mix!
Kat Saka’s Kettle in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge also serves a colorful Outpost Mix with sweet and spicy flavors that are out of this galaxy.
I hope this helps answer all your questions about your favorite buttery treat. If you have any more, feel free to pop by again!
See ya real soon,
Eean
