I am able to see my older (from October '24) magicband+ on MDE but am unable to swipe to it on the app. I have updated my app, tried factory resetting the magic band, and then forgetting the bluetooth of that band. I need help getting it to work.

Hiya, Annie, and welcome to planDisney! From one Georgian to another, I'm so happy you're here with this great question about your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation. It sounds like you're just a few days away from your arrival at the Most Magical Place on Earth, and you must be getting so excited!

Annie, I understand how frustrating it can be to encounter tech issues as you're gearing up for vacation. I'm so glad that you're working on this now, so that you can hopefully get the issue resolved before you start your vacation. We do expect MagicBands that are just a few months old to continue working! It sounds like you've done everything I would suggest before chatting with or calling a Cast Member. You're also welcome to bring the MagicBand+ with you and show it to a Cast Member at the Front Desk of your Disney Resorts Collection hotel or Guest Services in the Disney Theme Parks.

While it sounds like you're familiar with MagicBands and their amazing features, this is perhaps a good time to suggest Disney MagicMobile Service. It's a complimentary feature that allows you to save your Disney Theme Park ticket to the wallet of your smartphone, just like you would with a boarding pass or credit card. MagicMobile offers almost all of the same features as a MagicBand, and you can actually do this for your ticket as well as the tickets of anyone you manage within Family & Friends. My kids have MagicBands, but I have MagicMobile set up just in case one of them forgets to wear it or falls asleep in the stroller when we need to tap in. It's a good backup system, just in case your MagicBand+ is still malfunctioning upon arrival.

Annie, I hope this is helpful to you. Please stop by planDisney with any other questions you have!

    See ya real soon!
