Hi Nikky and welcome to planDisney!
How exciting that your Walt Disney World vacation is coming up in just a few weeks! I'm sure you're in the final planning stages and getting everything in order.
Dining at Disney is one of my favorite things to do and there is no shortage of fantastic restaurants at the theme parks
Disney Resort hotels and
Disney Springs.
My family loves the
all-you-care-to-enjoy restaurants at Disney since I have a house full of picky eaters. Buffet-style restaurants let us all pick and choose what we would like to eat and we can all find something delicious.
Chef Mickey's in
Disney's Contemporary Resort is one of our favorites since we can visit with all our favorite characters in one place! My mouth is watering just thinking of the Mickey and Minnie waffles. The breakfast hours end at 12:30 PM, but this means that the latest dining reservation that is offered is at 12:30 PM, so you will still see Guests being seated at that time and a little after. We are late eaters for breakfast and dinner and often snag the late dining reservations, so I can assure you from my wide experience, fresh and hot food will still be on the buffet line the entire time you are there. Chef Mickey's has two sides, so you might see one side close towards the end of your meal, but they offer identical dishes and the side that remains open will still be plentiful. No need to worry!
The same goes for visiting with the characters! No Guest will leave a character dining experience without visiting with every character there is. We have had plenty of time with Mickey and friends with later dining reservations and the character handlers make sure you see each one before they take an afternoon break before dinner.
Please
stop back by and visit if you have any additional vacation planning questions.
Have a magical day!
Leslie
