At Zuri's Sweet Shop they sell candy apple elephants, what are the ears and trunk made out of? My daughter has mild food allergies and wants to get one when she goes with her friends. I have looked for info and can't find any.

    Hi there, Ashley!

Zuri's Sweets Shop is well worth the journey to Africa. With some absolutely adorable desserts, as well as a selection of healthy snacks, this is the perfect stop for a quick bite.

Located just behind the Mombassa Marketplace, this Harambe resident favorite is known for the adorable candy apples. Patterned after some of the animals who make their home at Disney's Animal Kingdom, the apples are bigger than average, with plenty to share.

The ears and trunk on the elephant candy apple are made with marshmallow, then covered in chocolate. Absolutely speak with a member of the culinary team there to see what allergens the candy apple might contain.

For other special dietary concerns, feel free to reach out to Special.Diets@DisneyWorld.com to verify safe food items for your daughter.

    Thanks for your question, Ashley!
