Ahoy, Kelly!
With spectacular views for miles, zip lining is a fun way to soak in the sights of
Alaska on your cruise this summer! All three ports offer the opportunity to see the Last Frontier with a bird's eye view so I know it can be overwhelming to pick the right adventure, but I honestly don't think you can go wrong with any of them. My family experienced a variety of
Port Adventures in all three ports of call when we visited Alaska in 2015, and every one was amazing and memorable. We chose to zip line in Ketchikan and reserved the
Bear Creek Zipline Adventures. The meeting spot was right off the ship, and we were quickly whisked away to Herring Cove in the Tongass National Forest, the largest rainforest in North America! On the ride over, we were informed of some interesting facts about Ketchikan including that it is one of the rainiest places in North America. We were fortunate with sunny skies and temperatures in the 70s when we were there. Fingers crossed you enjoy the same on your visit this summer!
I really can't say enough about our excursion. The guides were so helpful and informative, and safety was evident as they continuously checked our equipment. They were always with us as we soared over the rainforest from platform to platform. It was definitely a family friendly experience, and a memory that stands out from our Alaskan vacation.
Good luck with your decision, Kelly! Adventure awaits on your Alaskan Cruise this summer!
