We (DH, 11 yr. old twin girls,me) are arriving at WDW on 3/29, staying thru 4/4.We plan to spend 1 day in each park except 2 days in MK, leaving us 1 'free' day.Since MK is a smaller park, should we plan to spend 2 days in a larger park, and 1 day in MK?

    Hi Sue,

Wow, bet you guys are so excited! You are just days away from your trip! While Magic Kingdom is one of the smaller parks in size, don't let that fool you. It is packed with things to do and features the largest number of actual attractions of any of the four parks. While it is possible to do all of Magic Kingdom in one day, if the crowds are low and you hustle from sun up to sun down, I would not recommend it. You will be exhausted and not get the full effect of all Magic Kingdom's magic and beauty.

I would plan on spending two days at Magic Kingdom and break up the park between the two days. Consider doing one side one day and the other side another Another thought is to work around the park from one area to another and on your second day start back where you left off or re-visit things you missed or want to do again. Besides the numerous attractions the park offers, there are stage shows, shops, parades, fireworks and even an occasional bench to stop and enjoy the sights and a snack. If you happen to finish the park early on your second day, you could always move to another park (if you have a park hopper),  venture back to your resort for a swim, or head to Downtown Disney for shopping. I think you will find the extra day at Magic Kingdom will allow you the opportunity to relax and enjoy the park instead of rushing.

The other park that we often spend two days at is Epcot. Given its large size and the unique shops and experiences in the countries, there are plenty of things to explore and do over a couple of days. The girls will probably enjoy spending time in Innoventions with some hands on exhibits and your husband and you might enjoy a casual stroll around the World Showcase sampling some drinks from other lands.

Hope you all have a magical trip!
