About Me

I'm Margaret, a Midwest gal who is convinced that the stork got lost on the way to a Florida beach and dropped me in the wrong state. Born and raised in a southside suburb, that is a stone's throw from Chicago, we took our happy homestead to the western cornfields of Illinois a few years ago. I am now a "city" girl enjoying plenty of extra space and nature. While there is still no beach, there is a pond with frogs that love to wander into our yard. There will be no kisses from me however, as I have my Prince Charming; and like Lilo and Stitch, "Ohana", my family, is everything to me!

I support my Disney obsession as a full time paralegal and project manager for a large student housing company that owns off-campus collegiate housing. The position allows me to travel and as luck has it, one of our communities is just a few minutes from the gates of Walt Disney World! I am an avid reader, and sports enthusiast, especially baseball. Go Cubbies!

I have a hard time turning down a good glass of sweet tea, and any chance I get, you can find me outside working in the garden or doing yard work. On the rare occasion that I have nothing to do, my hammock and a good playlist is how I recharge my batteries. I may be slightly obsessed with Pirates of the Caribbean - the movie and the attraction, have been known to eat a few to many DOLE Whips, and have a passion for Disney trivia and history. I love learning all I can about the parks, attractions, Walt's life, the Imagineers and more. I want to know the who, what and why of anything related to Walt Disney and the magical world he created. One of my favorite places to visit at Walt Disney World is One Man's Dream.

About My Family

My 6’ 9” Prince Charming and I are proud parents of four remarkable young men. My three amazing sons 25, 22, and 20 and one equally amazing 21 year old bonus son. They tower over me, ranging in height from 6’ to 6’ 4”. Obviously, we have no problem decorating the top of our holiday tree each year.

Three of them work and attend college in the area, so our home is full of laughter and chaos. While it is great to still have them home, I know the day is coming very soon when they will set out on their own. That is why the time we have together is even more priceless. The most important thing to me is being together. Walt Disney World has always held such excitement and pure joy for us. It is a place where all our daily responsibilities fade away and we can simply focus on our time as a family and making new memories. It is simply home to us and we look forward to every trip with enthusiasm and excitement.

About My Disney Experience

I did not make my first trip to Disney World until college but I have made up for lost time over the last thirty years. My numerous visits have come as a young adult, newlywed, mother-to-be, and mom of boys from as young as six weeks and currently into their twenties. I have traveled with elderly family members with mobility issues, large groups of friends and family and even the occasional solo getaway.

I have been fortunate enough to visit for every major holiday, for birthdays and anniversaries and have stayed at almost every Walt Disney World resorts. The few I have not are on my bucket list!  The magic of Disney World never stops for us. We plan every trip with the same excitement as our first and each trip is a new family adventure to be treasured and remembered. My hope is that I can help other families experience the fun, laughter and magic that our family finds every time we visit.
