My DH, 3yr old son, and 2 teen neices are headed to WDW in July. I really love the convenience of the Cont/Poly but am concered there will not be enough room. Are the rooms big? Should we forgo the convenience for a Villa? Much time will be spent in the MK

Hi Jennifer, The rooms at deluxe resorts, particularly the Poly, are among the largest at WDW, but honestly, I think you might want a villa. The two main reasons for this are privacy and the bathroom situation. I have teen daughters, it takes them a LONG time to get ready in the morning, monopolizing the bathroom. Also, I'm assuming that they won't want to change in front of your husband and vice versa. This will make even simple things like putting on a swimsuit take forever. Also, do you all want to tiptoe around your young son if he naps or goes to bed early? A standard room will make this all fairly complicated for you. But if you want the Magic Kingdom area and a villa, there is a solution. The one bedroom villas at the Contemporary Bay Lake Tower are quite spacious. They offer two separate rooms and two bathrooms. It's a win, win. There are also villas at the, in my opinion, equally convenient Beach Club and Boardwalk resorts. These hotels are steps away from Epcot and a quick boat ride away from Disney's Hollywood Studios. The Beach Club has the best pool at WDW for preschoolers and your nieces might enjoy strolling around Epcot on their own in the evening. If you want two rooms and two bathrooms, the family suites at the All Star Music or Art of Animation are a good alternative for those wishing to economize I'm happy to give you more details about any of this. Just let us know what you need.
