Ahoy Jessica!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I am so thrilled to hEAR you are sailing with Captain Mickey next summer!
Disney Cruise Line does an incredible job of ensuring that all guests have a wonderful experience while onboard. This includes food safety and accommodating
special dietary needs. I would recommend you dine in the three
rotational dining rooms or
Cabanas so your pirate-in-training can avoid egg and peanut contact.
There are several important steps you can take to communicate these allergies to the crew onboard your
Disney Cruise Line ship. First, be sure to note the allergy on your reservation during Online Check-In for your sailing. Once onboard, be sure to discuss the allergies with your Head Server so they can help avoid cross contamination for your table as well as recommend the best menu items for your pirate. When having breakfast and lunch in Cabanas or the dining rooms, talk directly with the service staff at that meal to let them know about the allergies. They will ask you when you are seated as well.
If the egg and peanut allergies are life threatening or severe, please also contact the Special Services team at (407)-566-3602 prior to your sailing so they can make the appropriate accommodations to keep your pirate safe at sea.
When you check your pirate-in-training into the
Oceaneer Club or
Oceaneer Lab, the Youth Counselors will ask about food allergies. Food is offered in the youth clubs during meal times, but you can instruct the Youth Counselors to either serve food that meets your pirate's dietary needs or not to provide food while in the clubs.
Sail back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel if you have any additional questions while planning your adventure!
"Sea" ya real soon! Angie
