Hi there, Deborah!
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Your daughter sounds a lot like my son, who still at the age of 12 eats like a bird and is quite picky. He prefers to order off the children's menu because it's usually just the right amount of food. When we've dined at table-service locations, they have charged us the price off the children's menu, and we always understand that this is up to the restaurant's discretion. But, with that said, family-style and all-you-care-to-enjoy buffets do charge the adult pricing for those 10 and over. Since my son doesn't usually eat a lot, we normally only plan one or two family-style or buffet meals.
Chef Mickey's, at Disney's Contemporary Resort, is a good choice for us since it offers Mickey's Macaroni and Cheese, Chicken Nuggets, Create-Your-Own Sundae Bar and Chocolate Chip Cookies, and we get to dine with some of our favorite Disney Pals! Quick-service dining options also work well for my son and are a great price point.
I spend a lot of time reviewing menus before I book our meals because I want my entire family to enjoy our dining experience, which isn't always easy with a picky eater. I'm thankful the menus are included on the Walt Disney World website and that all restaurants offer Kids' Entrées. This makes my job of finding the perfect
dining locations a lot easier! Best of luck to you with your selections, Deborah!
