Our 11 yr old eats very little and often shares a main meal with one of us if there is no kids menu. We have reservations each night. Is she allowed to order form the kids menu or share with one of us? Or will a restaurant make a smaller meal for her? Thx!

Hi Claire! As the mom of an eleven-year-old with a very limited diet, I definitely have experience on this topic! Thankfully, the restaurants at Walt Disney World are very accommodating of children. Even though your daughter is considered an "adult' by Disney, she's more than welcome to order from the children's menu if she prefers the options there. Also, if nothing on the menu appeals to her, don't hesitate to ask if the restaurant can prepare a different meal for her. My picky son has often been able to order a grilled cheese sandwich or a cheese pizza without sauce at many Disney table-service restaurants, even though such items didn't appear on the menu. Of course, if your daughter would rather just eat a few bites of what you're having, just tell your server that she wants to share your meal. (Sharing's generally fine, except of course, when you're dining at a buffet or other meal where everyone at the table is charged a fixed-price.)
