Hello!!! I have a 7 yr old boy who is a Star Wars FREAK!! All he talks about is the Jedi Training. I read that about 25 kids will be chosen to participate, what would his odds be of being a chosen one?

    Hi Jennifer,

Wow-sounds like we have the same kid, my 7 year old is also a Star Wars fiend. We have spent many hours lined up again and again for the Jedi Training Academy. You are correct, there are a limited number of kids that are selected for the academy for each show. There is no guarantee that your child will be selected but there are some great tips that you can use to add to his chances.

Disney Mom Kara has a great video that you can watch on the Mom's Panel Video library. Biggest tip is to arrive early!!! The stage is located next to the Star Tours attraction and show times are posted. Arrive at least fifteen to twenty minutes before the show so your child is in the front row. The trainers are looking for enthusiastic kids that stand out in the crowd. Have your Star Wars fan wear one of his favorite Star Wars shirts or hats or bring his light saber. Lastly be loud, jump and down and yell and show how much you want to be in the show. If all of this fails, no worries, there are multiple shows throughout the day so just try again at the next one.

May the force be with you, and have a great time!
