Have 6yr boy & 3yr girl. Should I bring umbrella stroller for girl or my sit-n-stand for both? what would be easier for WDW transportation? Thanks!

    Hi Stacey,

Strollers are a big topic in Disney trip planning circles. There are pros and cons to all options, you have to weigh all the information and decide what makes the most sense for your family. Here are some things to think about:

    - If you will be using Disney's free bus transportation, an umbrella stroller will be easier to fold and hold than a larger sit-n-stand will.

    - Your 6-year-old will likely want/need to use a stroller during at least part of your vacation. While your son may be a big boy, not needing a stroller at home, there is likely to be much more walking and other activity on your Disney trip than he is used to. Typical Disney travelers find themselves walking at least seven miles per day, plus other activities such as swimming. This is enough to make even the toughest little guy tuckered out.

So, what's easiest for you, might not be easiest for your son.

You may want to consider bringing both strollers. Use the umbrella when you're spending the morning in the park, but take the sit-n-stand when you go out in the evening and your son is more tired. Another alternative would be to just bring the umbrella, but have a budget for stroller rentals too. This way, if your son gets tired of walking, you can rent him some wheels for a while.

Good luck with your planning. Please let me know if you have additional questions.
