Hi moms! You've been so helpful so far. My friends and I want to eat lunch (or dinner, doesn't matter) in Galaxy's Edge on our Hollywood Studios day. What do you recommend? Do we need to make reservations anywhere?

    Chrissy,

    Thanks for your question!

A visit to Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge has become a new staple to my Walt Disney World vacation visits!

While a visit to Oga's Cantina at the Walt Disney World Resort is on many people's To Do! list, they really don't have many food options, other than some shareable snacks. So if you can go for an adult beverage, do so. But don't plan on it being your dining destination. Your better bets for lunch or dinner include Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo and Ronto Roasters

Docking Bay 7 is a counter service restaurant, with a lot of indoor seating areas that are wonderfully themed to the Star Wars galaxy. I love the indoor seating on those hot summer days on Batuu! I am not a vegetarian, but on my last visit I had the Kefta and Hummus entree. It was fantastic! I love foods with a ton of flavor, and this served me well. I would say that this and the pot roast are the two best options on the menu, but there is a lot to explore, so come with an open mind to try something new! By the way, the pot roast is only available at dinner.

Ronto Roasters has some great wraps that you can carry around, both at breakfast, as well as during the lunch or dinner time frame. I would go with either the Ronto Wrap or the Endorian Chicken Wrap, depending on your preference between pork or chicken. This is a good choice for a more portable meal, so pick between the two destinations based on if you want to sit, or roam.

As for reservations, neither take them, though Oga's Cantina does. But with the two dining destinations I mentioned, remember to have your smartphone handy. Using the Mobile Ordering feature on the My Disney Experience App can speed up how fast you get your food, and that gets you back to the Black Spire Outpost to explore and defend the galaxy!

Have a Magical (and delicious) Vacation!
