Hello there, Stephanie!
It's great to see you at planDisney today with this important question. I'd be happy to assist.
Our family enjoyed a performance of
Fantasmic! during our recent spring break trip, and were dazzled by the music, storytelling, and lighting effects throughout the show. We arrived about 30 min before the scheduled start and were pleasantly surprised to find available seating toward the right side of the curved amphitheater. Seating is stadium style, with rows of benches separated by steps heading down toward the water in each section. We noticed that guests had access to wheelchair-accessible seating in the upper area of each section, but I wanted to reach out to a Cast Member to inquire about other seating options we may not have noticed.
After a friendly chat, I learned that there is front-row seating available for guests using wheelchairs or ECVs, with access via a ramp near the stroller parking area. A Cast Member will be there to assist you to the dedicated area, upon arrival.
Keep in mind that all seating is on a first-come, first-served basis, but with the purchase of a
Fantasmic! Dining Package, you'll have access to reserved sections in the very center of the amphitheater. This will save you from waiting in a potentially long standby line, and give you the opportunity to arrive closer to showtime. Whether you are able to get a spot near the water, or back at the top of the reserved sections, your package offers VIP seating with a head-on view of all of Sorcerer Mickey's magic. If you have a
MagicBand+ you'll have the added bonus of interactive lights and vibrations in sync with the show. My family loved this added feature and felt fully immersed as we watched the glowing lights change to match the different scenes during the performance.
If you're considering purchasing a Fantasmic! Dining Package
reservations can be made beginning 60 days in advance. Keep in mind you'll also need valid admission and theme park reservation. You'll have a choice of 50's Prime Time Cafe,
Hollywood & Vine, Mama Melrose's Ristorante Italiano, Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant, or my personal favorite
The Hollywood Brown Derby. Packages include an entrée and either an appetizer or dessert, or access to the buffet where applicable. While you can't go wrong with any menu, the Grapefruit Cake at The Hollywood Brown Derby gets my vote for best dessert at
Disney's Hollywood Studios.
I hope this helped, Stephanie! Please come back with more planning questions as you prepare for your visit.
Dream a fantastic dream,
Amy
