If you’re there for 6 nights/7 days, I’m thinking we’d only get the 5-day tickets (or maybe less)? Since you’ll be spending most of your first and last days traveling, right? And there's things to do at the resort? Its been 20 yrs since I've been there.

    Hi there Tracy!

How exciting you will be visiting Walt DIsney World for the first time in twenty years! You are going to be so amazed by all of the exciting attractions and shows that have been added since your last visit! This is a great question!  When my family plans an extended trip, we always schedule a Resort Day (non-park day) in the middle of our vacation to sleep in and enjoy our Walt Disney World Resort. We also like to visit Downtown Disney, which does not require park admission, during our vacation.

I recommend purchasing at least a 4-Day Magic Your Way Ticket in order to have at least one full day to spend at each of the four main theme parks, but would not suggest over a 5-Day Magic Your Way Ticket. You may also want to consider adding the Park Hopper Option to your tickets, which will enable you to visit more than one theme park in the same day, especially if you decide to go with the 4-Day Magic Your Way Tickets. I personally believe Magic Kingdom Park has the most attractions and some guests dedicate two full days to fully experience everything this iconic park has to offer. On the other hand, Disney's Animal Kingdom Park traditionally closes earlier than the other theme parks so you could easily "park hop" to Magic Kingdom Park that evening should you purchase the 4-Day Magic Your Way Ticket with Park Hopper Option. If it were me, I would purchase a 4-Day Magic Your Way Ticket with Park Hopper Option so that my family could enjoy a Resort Day in the middle of our vacation and still have one full day devoted to each of the theme parks. I hope this information helps in making your decision. Best wishes for a magical trip, Tracy!

    Happy Planning,
    Jodie
