My youngest boy will turn 3 years old on March 13th, and we will arrive at Orlando on March 12th. I will not be at Disney Hotel, but I am planning to go to Disney Parks, I would like to know how to proceed regarding the tickets. Could you please help me?

Hello, Elaine! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Visiting Disney World is sure to make your son’s birthday particularly magical!

The current Disney World ticket system is actually based around the age of Guests so that will impact the purchasing process for you depending on the date in which you decide to visit. Children under the age of three years are not required to have tickets for park admission. However, once your son turns three years old on March 13th, he will then fall into the three to nine years of age ticket category. So, if you intend on visiting the parks on or after March 13th, you will need to purchase a ticket for your son’s park admission.

Tickets for Disney World can be purchased online through the Walt Disney World website or through the My Disney Experience app. You may also purchase tickets by calling the Disney Reservation Center, visiting any ticket or Guest Relations window at the Walt Disney World Resort, or through other authorized ticket sellers and travel professionals.

Also, be sure to stop by any Guest Relations or indoor merchandise locations while visiting Disney World to receive a complimentary celebration button for your son’s birthday! Your son can wear this special birthday button during your visit and may receive a bit of special attention from Cast Members throughout your stay. He is sure to wowed when Cast Members wish him a very magical happy birthday!

Have fun planning the rest of your Disney World vacation!
