Hi there! I’m Wyatt, a proud pet parent, homemaking husband, and enthusiast of all things Disney! As someone with a strong background in research, I’ve put my skills towards the most magical endeavor possible: developing my Disney knowledge as much as possible! Professionally, I currently work in private practice as a mental health counselor where I predominantly specialize in working with individuals within the LGBT+ community. I also live with a rare connective tissue disorder called Ehlers’ Danlos Syndrome that can present some particular challenges at times. As someone with chronic illness, I also have a fair understanding of Disney’s policies regarding accessibility since it’s something that directly impacts me and my family trips.
About My Family
I met my best friend and husband, Alex, while we were in college. Over the years, we’ve bonded over our shared sense of humor, passion for animals, and, wait for it, our love of Disney. While we don’t have any human children, we do have entirely too many of the furry variety! We currently have two beautiful puppies, Cody and Gunner. Cody is our grumpy old man, though it’s worth pointing out, that he’s been this way since birth! Gunner is our goofy boy with a big personality and a mischievous streak. We also have a small colony of kitties including Luka, Rue, Tyrion, and Finny. We’ve also fostered many animals over the course of our relationship and helped them find their new forever homes! We one day hope to have an animal rescue of our own and continue caring for animals in as many ways as possible.
About My Disney Experience
As a child, I remember constantly watching and rewatching my favorite Disney films on VHS. To be honest, I’m pretty sure the majority of my childhood was filled with watching The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, and Lilo and Stitch on repeat! As a lifelong fan of music and art, I was obsessed with drawing my favorite scenes and singing along with my favorite characters. Despite this, I actually never had a true Disney Parks experience until my adult years. I clearly remember my first time staying at a Disney Resort hotel, Disney Caribbean Beach Resort, and falling in love with the theming that included even the most smallest of details. Relaxing with my husband on a hammock nestled into the foliage of Caribbean Cay Island is one of the fondest memories I have from that first stay at a Disney Resort hotel. From that point on, I made it my mission to stay at every Disney Resort hotel on property and soak up the unique theming presented at every resort!
