Jambo, Shelley! Welcome to planDisney. Thanks for stopping by with your question today!
I am happy to hear that you plan on staying at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge Resort in a few weeks! This resort is stunning, from its breathtaking lobby to the beautiful African art scattered throughout the property and to the animals you will see on the grounds. It truly is one of a kind, and I enjoyed my visit here a few years ago. Unfortunately, rollaway beds are not available at Disney Resort hotels. You
technically can bring an air mattress with you, but keep in mind that due to fire safety laws, the maximum number of guests staying in this particular room is four.
Shelley, have you checked out all the fun activities at Animal Kingdom Lodge? When you arrive, I suggest taking a photo of the resort Recreation Activities Guide, which can be found in the hotel lobby. You can reference this guide throughout your visit to keep track of the daily family activities featured at Animal Kingdom Lodge. A popular sweet treat at this resort is Zebra Domes, which can be found at
The Mara, and check out the delicious buffet at
Boma-Flavors of Africa. For a unique dining experience, make advanced dining reservations for
Jiko-The Cooking Place or
Sanaa, which can be found in Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge Villas-Kidani Village. Finally, if you want a unique family activity to experience, check out
Starlight Safari at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. This Enchanting Extra takes you out to Disney's African savannas to see the animals from a nighttime perspective.
I hope you and your family have the most magical visit to Walt Disney World, Shelley. Thank you for stopping by planDisney again. If you have other questions before your visit, send them my way. You've got a friend in me!
Baadaye!
Frances
