Hey Howdy Hey, Lori!
Welcome Home and welcome to planDisney! Lori, we love the home-away-from-home amenities at
Disney Vacation Club Resorts. Getting grocery deliveries to our Villa or your Deluxe Studio is just one of the many comforts that we love about the Disney Vacation Club Resorts. With
full-sized kitchens or kitchenettes and even on-site grills, these Resorts - with the added touches of magic only found at Disney - sure give new meaning to the idea of home sweet home.
Lori, if you are having
alcohol delivered to your Resort, you do need to be present when it arrives and present a photo ID to collect it if the delivery service vendor requires age or ID. Disney Resort Hotels can't accept delivery of such orders on behalf of any Guest, so you should be present in the lobby when the delivery arrives. If you are having it brought by a grocery delivery service, often you can arrange for them to call you when they arrive so you can show ID for alcohol.
This is also true even if you order an in-room gift that may contain alcohol. For Father's Day, I ordered my husband a basket of local beers to our Disney Vacation Club Resort and when it was delivered, I had to show ID even though it came through a gift service. So, the policy is the same regardless of what type of service it comes through.
One other thing to note, Lori, is if you have groceries delivered to your Disney Vacation Club Resort, you will be charged a
$6 delivery fee (price subject to change) if you have Bell Services deliver them to your room. If you choose to meet the delivery in the lobby and bring the groceries to your room yourself, you can avoid this fee.
I hope this helps you, Lori! If you have any further questions, stop back and see me here. You'll find me at the second star to the right and straight on til morning!
Ta Ta For Now,
Keri
