Yes, I'm trying to plan a Disney vacation for my 10 year old son and myself, I'm curious to know how many days is sufficient to see most all the park.

Hiya, pal! I'm happy to welcome you to the most magical panel on Earth — planDisney!

How exciting that you're planning a special Walt Disney World vacation with your son! As a mom of two boys myself, I know just how meaningful those one-on-one trips can be. A couple of years ago, I had the opportunity to take a solo Disney trip with my oldest son, and it quickly became one of my all-time favorite experiences. Getting to share that uninterrupted time together, making magical memories, and seeing the parks through his eyes made the trip truly unforgettable. I have no doubt that your adventure with your son will be just as special and filled with moments you'll both cherish for a lifetime.

From my personal experience, I recommend dedicating at least one full day to each of the four theme parks, with two days at Magic Kingdom if possible. Magic Kingdom is the most iconic park and offers so much to explore with its classic attractions and entertainment. That extra day can really enhance your visit. Of course, the more days you have, the more you'll be able to see and do, but it's important to remember that Walt Disney World Resort is incredibly vast. It's truly impossible to experience everything in just one visit. To make the most of your time, I suggest creating a list of must-do attractions, shows, and dining experiences, prioritizing what matters most to you and your son. By setting realistic expectations, you'll be able to enjoy a fun and stress-free vacation, allowing you to fully soak in the magic.

You will also need to decide if you want to add the Park Hopper option, which allows you to visit multiple parks in a single day. In my opinion, if your goal is to fully experience each park without feeling rushed, it may be best to skip this option and focus on one park per day. Additionally, the more days you add to your ticket, the lower the cost per day becomes, making it a great value. That's why I always recommend extending your stay if possible.

Because this is such a special trip, I highly recommend booking a Capture Your Moment photo session. These private 20-minute photo sessions allow you to have a Disney PhotoPass photographer capture your most magical moments in front of iconic Disney landmarks, like Cinderella Castle or the Millennium Falcon. I'm big on preserving memories and think this is such a great way to ensure you have beautiful photos to look back on.

I'm truly so excited about your vacation with your son. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to visit us again at planDisney — we're always happy to help friends like you!
