Its been 4 years since staying at the Polynesian, and I'm looking forward to my stay this August (first as a DVC member). Are there any new things at the resort that I really need to check out? Do they still show movies on the beach at night?

    Aloha Robert!

Your 'Ohana is in for a real treat during your next visit to Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows! The entire Resort has experienced quite a transformation over the last few years.

When you hear your first "Welcome Home" as Disney Vacation Club Members, you will notice that The Great Ceremonial House now showcases a stunning open concept complete with plenty of comfortable seating. Look up! I love the different colored globes suspended from the ceiling. If you need to recharge your electronics, and possibly your own batteries after a long day of travel, there is a great alcove in the front corner of The Great Ceremonial House with Disney Movies showing and USB ports in the lamps.

No visit to Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows would be complete without a visit with our favorite salesman, Trader Sam, at Trader Sams Grogg Grotto and Tiki Bar. Keep your head, children are even welcome until 8 P.M! After that time, this becomes an age restricted experience for Guests over 21-years old.

Nightly Movies Under The Stars are now viewed at the newly refurbished Lava Pool. If your Disney Vacation Club Resort is not hosting a movie that evening, just hop aboard the Resort Monorail to check out what is showing at Disney's Contemporary Resort or Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Check your Recreation Activities Calendar, included in your check-in packet, for times and movies.

Come back and visit us with any additional questions, Robert!

    Wishing you many magical memories,

    Sally
