    2 years ago we stayed at Coranado Springs. Loved it!! Just wish I would have packed a portable fishing pole. This year thinking of Wilderness Lodge. Are we allowed to fish on our own from the shore there? Are you allowed to at Coronado? Anywhere?

    Coronado Springs happens to be my favorite resort! I'm completely in love with the Colonial Mexican architecture and the great food options available there, and my kids just love the Dig Site pool.

    Fishing is available at many of the resorts, but require guests to go through Disney recreation and book a fishing excursion, which can cost from $230 for up to five persons, and include a guide, rod and reel, tackle, artificial and live bait and beverages. You can reserve a fishing excursion by calling (407) WDW PLAY. These excursions are available daily from several resorts including Coronado Springs, Caribbean Beach, Old Key West and more, to name a few.

    If throwing a line is what you are looking for, you can have an awesome time by renting a canoe/boat at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. You are able to fish with your own rod and reel at your hearts content. The cost for rental is $6.93 for canoe and $22.00 for a 12' sailboat, per hour. You can also reserve these by calling (407) WDW PLAY. Keep in mind that all fishing on Disney property is catch and release.
