My name is Malanie and New York City is my home. I am of Puerto Rican descent, hablo español, and my husband and I are parents to a blended family of four. Born in New York and raised in California, I’ve had the opportunity to enjoy the best of both coasts. Professionally, I am an Occupational Therapist specializing in both geriatric rehabilitation and pediatric early intervention. In my spare time, I take courses on health informatics and development, as well as teaching myself how to bake. My favorite pastime is planning our next Walt Disney World vacation and finding something new and different to experience on each trip.
About My Family
My husband, Kevin, and I met and married in upstate New York. We honeymooned at Walt Disney World, and took our first blended family trip there right after. With one child a member of the United States Coast Guard, two in college and another in high school, we are constantly trying to get everyone under one roof. Our Walt Disney World vacations have focused on thrill attractions for the older kids, and classic attractions for the youngest. We have dietary restrictions in our family, and the dining experiences within the parks and resorts have allowed us to enjoy delicious meals while adhering to our respective concerns. We are known to rope drop parks, return to our resort hotel for an afternoon of swimming and relaxing, and then head back to the parks for nighttime experiences. Our trips are never complete until we visit Typhoon Lagoon for the guys and Disney Springs for the girls.
About My Disney Experience
Growing up on the West Coast, my first taste of Disney magic was when I was 3 years old in Disneyland, and I have been hooked ever since. As a child, I was in awe of all the attractions, the characters, and of course, Mickey Mouse. As an adult, seeing that same look in my children’s eyes made me love the Disney Parks just that much more. Being able to see the characters from the Disney movies brought to life, dance alongside them on Main Street U.S.A, and feel like a kid again, kept us coming back year after year. Becoming Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club members has given us more flexibility in our planning, allowing us to cater family trips, to couple’s trips and even solo, gal pal trips. Next up on our Disney experience agenda is a trip to Disney’s Aulani Resort and Spa in Hawaii, a visit to the Disneyland Resort in California and a cruise with friends on the newest addition to Disney Cruise Lines, Disney Wish! I’m so glad I can help you plan a most memorable Walt Disney World vacation!
