About 2 years ago, I was fortunate to stay at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. While there, the lobby bar was serving a wonderful Chocolate Covered Cherry Martini. Does anyone know how these are made? I would love to have the recipe.....thank you.........Jane

The menu at Jiko, the signature restaurant at the Animal Kingdom Lodge, describes the "Chocolate-Covered Cherry" as dark creme de cacao, Skyy vodka, amarula, and cherry brandy in a chocolate-rimmed martini glass, served with a chocolate-covered cherry. Wow does that sound great! I haven't had this drink yet, but I'm sure going to seek it out the next time I visit the AKL.

There is no exact recipe for this online and I've been unable connect with the bar at Jiko, however I did find several dozen other close matches for similar drinks on:

    themartinidiva.blogspot.com
    allrecipes.com
    grouprecipes.com
    reciepezaar.com

Just search these sites for "chocolate covered martini" and you'll find the hits. I particularly like the recipe on the site drinksmixer.com because they include a helpful video that shows exactly how to mix the ingredients.

The website barmeister.com list a total of seven different versions of this drink. Perhaps it's best if you try them all to see which is most to your liking :-)
