My 18-year-old daughter and her friends are planning a high school graduation trip to Disney World. Can I reserve the room with my credit card though she will be checking in without my being there?

    Hei Hei there, Cristi.

What can I say except, "You're welcome here at planDisney!" Graduating from high school is such a momentous occasion, and Walt Disney World Resort is the perfect place to celebrate such a milestone. Like Moana, your daughter is about to set out to find her way in the world and embark on a great journey all her own. I'm sure you are incredibly proud of her!

Your daughter's trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth is just the first of many adventures she's going to have. I'm so excited for her and her friends to experience this together and make countless "shiny" memories along the way! Have you considered booking her a Capture Your Moment photo session with her friends? It's a 20-minute personalized photo session with a Disney PhotoPass photographer and is offered at Disney's Hollywood Studios, Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT, and Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park for an affordable price. Her photos would be the perfect souvenir and something you could all reminisce over in the future. To book a Capture Your Moment photo session, call 407-939-7758.

I have crossed the Guest Services horizon to find you an answer to this excellent question, and am happy to report that yes, you can reserve your daughter's Disney Resorts Collection hotel room with your credit card even if you won't be with her at check-in. I once booked a room at Disney's Pop Century Resort for my husband using my credit card and was not with him at check-in. He had no issues, so unless something changes before June you should be good to go. I suggest you call Guest Services at 407-560-2428 closer to the date of your daughter's trip to double-check that nothing has changed. Don't forget, the final payment for a vacation package is due 30 days prior to the date of arrival.

Cristi, if that line where the sky meets the sea of questions comes calling again while planning your Walt Disney World Resort vacation, please stop back by planDisney. There's just no telling how far we'll go to find you the answers you need.

    Follow the farthest star,
