Hello, I have an 11-year-old autistic child. Which hotel is closest to both parks and has early entry? I am looking for a hotel where we can take my son for quick breaks and then return without walking too far. Thanks

    Hi there, Fairuz!

Welcome to planDisney. I am happy to answer your question! Staying at a Disneyland Resort hotel always adds extra magic to my trips to Disneyland Resort. The rooms are perfectly themed, the pools are "splashtastic", and the grounds are lovely.

All Disneyland Resort hotels offer Early Entry, allowing Guests to enter one of the designated theme parks 30 minutes early to enjoy select attractions, dining, and shopping locations. Disneyland Resort has two theme parks: Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park. Each day, one of those parks opens early for hotel Guests. Just check the theme park calendar to see which park is open each morning and what time the park opens.

Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa is the closest hotel to the theme parks. It even has its own entrance into Disney California Adventure Park, making it easy to return to your hotel for a break or pool time. I love the hotel's Craftsman-style decor and wide open lobby. It is truly a work of art! Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa also has some great dining options. Storytellers Cafe offers a delicious all-you-care-to-enjoy breakfast where you can also say hello to Mickey Mouse and his friends. Dining reservations are recommended and can be made up to 60 days in advance on the Disneyland Resort website or the Disneyland mobile app

Although Disneyland Hotel is a little further away, it is close to the Disneyland Monorail station that takes Guests from the Downtown Disney District (the shopping district near Disneyland Hotel) to Tomorrowland inside Disneyland Park. It is a fun transportation option that takes you into one of the theme parks! Just keep in mind that sometimes there is a line to board the Disneyland Monorail, especially close to the park opening time and after the evening fireworks have finished. Additionally, Guests staying at Disneyland Hotel need to walk through the Downtown Disney District to enter Disney California Adventure Park.

Did you know that Disneyland Resort offers various services for people with autism? I recommend viewing this page that offers tips and information on visiting Disneyland Resort with Guests with disabilities. It is very helpful!

Fairuz, have a wonderful visit to Disneyland Resort! We hope to see you real soon!
