My use year starts in Feb. I want to make a res. for Nov. 2021 using banked pts from 2020 (170), plus pts from 2021 use year (131). If I cancel before the end of Sept. 2021, can I rebook those 170 pts. for a Jan. 2022 vacation? and bank 131 pts to 2022?

Welcome to planDisney, Joan! Thanks for stopping by with your question about using Vacation Points for your next stay in a Disney Vacation Club Resort. I love the flexibility that a Disney Vacation Club Membership allows, giving you the opportunity to bank and borrow Vacation Points to make the most of your vacations. I often bank a year of Vacation Points to use along with the following year’s points so that I can enjoy a longer stay or larger accommodation in a Disney Vacation Club Resort.

I think it is a great idea to use your banked 2020 Vacation Points for a magical vacation this November. I love visiting Walt Disney World in the fall and around the holiday season. The parks and resorts are always so festive during that time of year. If you do end up having to cancel the November 2021 vacation, as long as you do so four months prior to the end of your Use Year, you will be able to bank your 2021 Vacation Points. Your banked 2020 Vacation Points will need to be used prior to the end of January 2022 or they will expire. You can read more details about the rules of banking and borrowing Vacation Points on the Disney Vacation Club website

I hope that this information helps you to confidently book your next vacation using your Disney Vacation Club Membership! Please remember that you’ve got a friend in us here at planDisney, so stop back by any time we can help answer your vacation questions.
