Welcome aboard, Susan! Disney Cruise Line vacations offer
something for everyone in the family, from the littlest sailor to their grandmother and everyone in between!
The 1820 Society is a group for cruisers that are too old for the Youth Clubs, but not quite old enough for the over 21 activities and drinks. Keep an eye out for the first event on night one for the 1820 Society, which is a get-to-know each other ice breaker of sorts. I've often seen them meeting in the Cove Cafe for a complimentary specialty coffee tasting. If you have cruisers in that age range, they won't want to miss that first night, as besides the activity, they will have the opportunity to weigh in on what else to plan for the rest of the cruise. This group is headed up by the fabulous Cruise Staff team who are hip young adults themselves. They know how to get this group mixing and mingling and they know the cool activities to provide.
More 1820 Society offerings throughout the cruise have included things like game challenges, smoothie time, ice cream socials, lunches and more. Many will then plan their own unlisted get-togethers throughout the sailing too, so meeting up at that first event is certainly a must-do! So, while they don't exactly have their own Youth Club space like the younger kids, almost the whole ship is open to them, and the 1820 Society will make their cruise experience even more exciting and memorable! Don't forget that the adult areas are for ages 18 and up, so your family members in this age range can participate in
adult exclusive game shows, events, and even hang out in the Quiet Cove adult pool area, and other adult areas of the ship.
Check out the Personal Navigator each day or the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App for the schedule of events. Have a great cruise, Susan!
